worries on detonation

I did'nt have the BTC for my dyno run though, so I don't know if that caused some or what.

I thought though for most of us that the detonation wasn't really at full throttle, it was the part throttle detonation that was killing us. If this is true, wouldn't most of our dynos run pretty smooth since by the time we've built full boost, there is more than enough fuel provided to run 3 or 4 green lights on my a/f meter. It's just the fact that we build boost too fast and our fuel systems just can act fast enough to take care of the boost that our engines mainly get detonation. If I'm wrong, someone please correct me though...

MY car is pretty loud haveing the I/H/E and I try tunning the BTC but I'm not sure if I could here it over all that other noice going on in there. My question is, is it that loud that I would here it? Plus I tune it with my stereo cracked all the way, all the pinging gets ayoning J/K.

I could hear it right away over I/h/e just went ping so 10 degrees was wew i stay when I was at 6psi

you or the dyno shop should've noticed pinging while you dyno'd your car....

wat's your static timing....btc position....fuel octane...etc?

On the car the timing is set at 17 degrees and the BTC is at 11 O clock and the car is running really strong. I hear no detonation nor have I ever heard it.

Generally, you can see detonation on the dyno even if you can't hear it. Look at your charts. If you see a lot of rapid spiking it's probably detonating.
